OSAMA BIN LADEN HAS "KICKED THE BUCKET"

Osama Bin Laden - the erstwhile leader of the al qaeda force is dead ! Where it not that this statement was  made by president Barrack Obama himself , it would have been one of the jokes told on all fools day. But that is the truth ;  plain and simple . His death has thrown up a lot of issues around the world. Mixed reactions trail the death of this warlord. His death is a  proof of the superiority of the good over evil. At least, the world has gotten rid of one terrorist.
The question , however , is this "Would the death of Osama Bin Laden lead to  the extinction of the al-qaeda network ?" This is a question that must be answered so  we know if it is time to sleep with our two eyes open ! Various world leaders , peasants , Americans and Africans alike are already responding to the death of Osama Bin Laden.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy hailed "the tenacity of the United States" in its 10-year hunt for the al-Qaida leader while Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi called his death a "great result in the fight against evil."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it was "a resounding victory for justice, for freedom and for the shared values of all democratic countries that fight shoulder to shoulder against terror."
"the killing of bin Laden came nearly 13 years after the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, attacks blamed on al-Qaida that killed 225 people"- Kenyan President -Mwai Kibaki

A BRIEF HISTORY ON THE LIFE AND TIMES OF OSAMA BIN LADEN
Al Qaeda was founded in 1988 by Osama bin Laden to consolidate the international network which he supposedly established during the Afghan war. Al Qaeda was founded in 1988 by Osama bin Laden to consolidate the international network he established during the Afghan war. Its goals were the advancement of Islamic revolutions throughout the Muslim world and repelling foreign intervention in the Middle East.

Bin Laden was the  son of a billionaire Saudi businessman, became involved in the fight against the Soviet Union’s invasion and occupation of Afghanistan. Following the first Gulf War, Al Qaeda shifted its focus to fighting the growing U.S. presence in the Middle East, especialy , in Saudi Arabia which is known to be the ancestral home to Islam’s greatest prophets and ideologies. Al Qaeda always opposed the stationing of U.S. troops on "the holiest of Islamic lands " and waged an extended campaign of terrorist attacks against US troops  and embassies  . All this are now over and the US can now breathe a sigh of relief.

AFTER HIS DEATH WHAT NEXT ?
The death of one dictator or evil despot does not necessarily mean the extinction of evil. Did the US do the right thing in the out right assassination of Osama Bin Laden ? Do you think his death can spark of a litany of reprisals against all American loyalists ? The war agains terrorism is a global war for all  . Every man has the right to express his opinions so long as he does not harm another in the process. A battle has just been won , but the war is not over !
